Renting a car at the Airport is probably the easiest and cheapest option(~$40 per day).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">By Car <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Socorro, New Mexico, is primarily served by Interstate 25 (I-25), which runs north-south (Exits 147 and 150), and U.S. Route 60 (US 60), which runs east-west.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">By Train<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no direct service to Socorro. However, Albuquerque is served by train through the Alvarado Transportation Center in Downtown. There are no car rental facilities inside the Alvarado Transportation Center, but it is easily accessible to downtown rental locations, or a 15-minute ride to the Sunport\u2019s consolidated car rental center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By Bus<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Bus service is limited, and most buses will drop you off on California Street in Socorro.  From there, Socorro Transportation operates a curb-to-curb service within City Limits: Monday \u2013 Friday; 8:45 am \u2013 4:00 pm. You must reserve in advance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Schedule Your Ride in Advance: 575-835-1501.  For General Information Email: transportation@socorronm.gov<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The fare per ride is 50 cents within city limits.
